KEVIN MAX AND STRYPER TO SHARE THE STAGE WITH TESLA, TWISTED SISTER, STAIND'S AARON LEWIS AND MORE
February 25th charity event will benefit victims of the Station Nightclub tragedy in Rhode Island

Kevin Max (NASHVILLE, TENN.) -- Some of Christian music's top artists will share the stage with rock & roll icons for a charity benefit concert on Monday, February 25th. Kevin Max and Stryper will join Tesla, Twisted Sister, Tom Scholz (Boston), Aaron Lewis (Staind) and others, along with host Dee Snider, for the 5th Anniversay Station Family Fund Charity Concert at Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

The charity event marks the fifth anniversary of the Station Nightclub tragedy in Rhode Island, the fourth largest nightclub fire in U.S. history. 100 lives were lost, 200 others were seriously injured and 65 children lost one or both parents. Five years later, funds available for the survivors are woefully inadequate. Only 15 survivors of the fire qualified for Social Security benefits, and many are still unable to meet their monthly needs.

"It is sometimes, strange acts of unforetold tragedy that bring us together on a common ground," says recording artist Kevin Max, who with DC Talk sold over 8 million albums to date. "I look forward to being a part of this event because of the awareness it will build for the families involved."

For Stryper's lead singer Michael Sweet, this event is even more personal. "I have a dear friend who miraculously survived the fire and he has certainly been an inspiration to me," says Sweet. "To be able to help raise funds and help support those who have suffered from this tragedy is a true honor. My heart, thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all the families, friends and loved ones involved and I'm grateful to be a part of such an event."

The Station Family Fund, founded by survivors, family members and community members affected by the fire, and the Wake Up To Love Foundation, founded by Tesla drummer Troy Luccketta, are the event organizers. While $100,000 was raised in 2005 from a benefit concert featuring Tesla, Shinedown, Pat Travers and Carmine Appice, those funds are in desperate need of replenishing.

All proceeds from ticket sales and charity auctions benefit the Station Family Fund, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable organization. The Station Family Fund is committed to providing survivor relief, including costs of ongoing treatment and rehabilitation.

Additional artists scheduled to perform on February 25th include Carmine Appice?s SLAMM!!, Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Gary Hoey and drummer Danny Seraphine (Chicago). Other artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

Organizers would like to acknowledge the incredible generosity of the Dunkin? Donuts Center (www.dunkindonutscenter.com), whose management has graciously donated the venue free of charge for the charity event, as well as East Coast Lighting, WHJY and the many acts who are donating their time and talent to make this event possible.

Tickets are now on sale at Ticketmaster.com. Prices range from $39.00 to $59.00.
